So i just tried to spotlight a file and when i clicked on it, it said that "spotlight is busy because it is cataloging your files", or something along those lines. So i let it finnish cataloging my files and now it won't find saved documents, or any of my itunes library, or pretty much anything...i can't find any specific relationship with what it finds, but i know that once i open a file, then spotlight can find it. But merely playing a song in iTunes doesnt work. i would have to open it from the hard drive. Do i actually have to open all of my files to get spotlight to work again!?!
Right before this happened i used Cocktail to do some optimization and also my friend put my computer in target mode so he could send me something with his iMac via firewire.
I used cocktail before i did target mode, but i don't know if i tried using spotlight before i did the target mode or not.
Other than that i don't know what i did.
Please help!
