my ibook crashed while using power point

now it wont boot up

i have tried booting from the restore disc but i cant select my hard drive.

youve got a problem with your hard drive. has it made any wierd noises lately?

Try insert your iBook restore CD and restart and hold down the "Option" key and You should see a start up screen with 2 or more Small icon box for you to click on to get boot on. HOpe it helps?

boot form your restore disk. under finder, go menu, utilities, disk utility. does your drive show up on the left hand side? if it does select it and run disk first aid. hopefully it will fix any problem. if not, you will need a program like Mac Medic or Disk Warrior. If these don't work, you will need to replace your hard drive. you DO have a backup right ??
