I just installed the adobe font library last night by dragging all the fonts into MacHD/library/fonts. Now on ceartain pages I pull up in safari, I am getting fonts that look cryllic...there are accents over each letter. I have checked the text encoding in safaris prefs and the default fonts, and even removed as many of the adobe fonts as I could from the font folder. Nothing seems to help. This problem does not show up in firefox or IE. Any suggestions?

Check and see if the font Times Phonetic is in there. If it is, remove it, then quit and relaunch Safari.

Thanks for the tip...I tried it, it didn't work...now the text is all numbers with the same type of squiggles and lines over them.

Check to see if you have multiple instances of Helvetica active, like the postscript version and an opentype/truetype version in one of the /Library folders. If you do, deactivate the postscript one.

Thanks again...I tried it...no luck, it seems that all fonts under a certain size revert to the numbers and squiggles.

Do you have any "fractions" fonts active? I've had problems in the past when these were active. All of the problems were most obvious in the web browsers as well.. I think the one that got me was Helvetica Fractions.

good luck.
