I didn't install it until today (along with the iTunes 5.0.1 update), and afterward Safari started unexpectedly quitting on me. I trashed the Safari .plist file, but no effect.

I'd try to trash the cookies.

It would have been interesting to see the loaded libraries to see whether you have any hacks installed that might cause the crash.
