Using Tiger.
I can't believe I can't find it, but no luck so far. I want to do MAC address filtering on my router.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Apple Menu...About this Mac...More info...
Click Network, MAC address is the bottom bit of info in the right pane.

Or in system prefs under network ethernet tab, ethernet ID is what you're looking for.

uh........
this is the MAC address of your ethernet card.......
If you are using a cable/dsl modem and or router, you should be able to find it on the data plate of the device, or on the original paperwork that you got when you ordered the service
If all else fails, call your ISP tech support, but make sure you dont tell them why you want it, just say that you want to write it down for your "records". Otherwise they may think you are trying to run a home network, for which they ALL want to charge extra, or they may suspect you of trying to hack somebody else's 'puter
RoadRunner tried that crap after I installed my Vonage Router between my cable modem and computer. They billed me 2 months extra for the "home networking fee", which at the time was $30/month.......
I told them if they pulled that sh*t again, I would soon own their asses, and change their name to "Bowwow's Cable, inc".......
whaddayaknow, a $60 credit suddenly appeared on my account the next day

Uh, for MAC address filtering, the O.P. needs the MAC addresses of the clients, not the router. Setting up a router should never require the MAC address of the modem/bridge device.
