What I have found interesting or inconvenient since the latest security update, is that when I mount a disk image, I cant drag files out of the mounted white square (whatever the f#$%^ its called) that appears after you double click a disk image. Usually as you drag a file out, the file is accompanied by a small green icon with a plus sign on it indicating it can be moved, however now all I see as i attempt to drag a file out is an accompanying white circle with a white diameter line in it.
Is this a coincedence or have I inadvertantly activated some permission thing to do with dragging files out of a disk on the desktop.?
any help appreciated.

The white circle with slash you're seeing on the pointer is a prohibited action indicator (the circle really should have been red instead of white I suppose). It appears that you no longer have write permission for your desktop. Get info on it to confirm, and then either change it manually or run a Repair Permissions.

Hi Bigmac
I have been a way for a week, just got back and thanks for the reply.
How so I "get info" for the desktop?. I will try using the desktop or finder
and see how I go.
Cheers
