Is there a way to sort a smart folder by date instead of by name?

I have a downloads folder with a large amount of files, however I download many PDF files and I often find myself spending a considerable amount of time looking for a particular file. So I decided to create a smart folder with all of the PDF files in my folder. However, when I open the folder the files are sorted by name, which makes it quite useless, since most of the time I'm looking for files downloaded in a specific date.

In the menu select View->As List or click the middle button of the view kind buttons in the toolbar of the smart folder window. Then click on the header of the date column to sort by date.
