I like to post this issue every few months, because even though I appear to be the only one in history of Apple with this problem (according to Apple techs), and no on here or at Apple has been able to solve it (not that I’m complaining), it still bugs me, and I hope for a cure.

Since I got on board tiger, my log in items vanish, from the log in items pane in the system preferences every few reboots. It’s not perfectly consistent, but I would say that every five or so reboots, whatever I put in log in items vanishes and has to be re-added.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Can you create a new user and replicate the issue?

Good question Rickey.
I'm not going to do that now. But.... I did not give the details, the Prequel of this if you will:

This happened after my second clean install of Tiger.

I had other issues with permissions as well as this issue, and they were not solved with another user. So I then did erased the whole hardrive and did a clean install. And this issue started right after!

How many Login Items do you have? How many are 3rd party non-Apple?
