I noticed a folder on my HD called Previous Systems. I am guessing this was created when I upgraded from Pather to Tiger. Can anyone confirm if this is safe for me to delete (I am not planning on downgrading), the last modified date is July 12, 2005 (probably around the time I upgraded to Tiger).

I am guessing that I can delete it without hosing my system. However, I don't want to delete it unless someone can confirm that it does not affect the OS or other common apps (Office/Photoshop/Dreamweaver)

Thank you,

You can delete it. If you choose to do an archive-install, that's where it will put your old system. That way you can retrieve resources from the old system if you had something there you want (like maybe a QuickTime plugin you installed). Unless you're intentionally using something in there, it won't make any difference.

Before deleting that folder, you might want to have two Finder windows open side-by-side in column view so that you can compare folders for any third party components left behind. Tiger has been good about saving most third-party components (especially in /Library/Application Support) but if you installed haxies or whatnot, you'll lose them (then again, you'll probably need new versions anyway).
