how to localize bash?

I've got OS X set to display as much french as it can, but how do I get the command prompt, bash, to show french file sizes (octects vs. bytes), french dates on file creation/modification dates etc ?

I don't think you can. Also, all path names will be unlocalized as well.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
