hey.. kinda new to mac os..... i am using 10.3.9 , the other day... i was using adobe illustrator dn accidently exports a pdf file to some thing called DWG format.. now thre like 400 BMP files on my dektop adn its kep son coming and eating up cpu.. the finder is inaccessibel adn even when i restart it starts all over agin.. itried to see if it will eventuall;y stop.. it does but then the crool wheel ocmes on and i cant access antying.. inttially everyhting works.. but i guess the cpu is being used up.. so llater it becomes realy slow.. please help !!!!

Can you launch Activity Monitor, sort by CPU usage & see what's running that's gobbling CPU? & can you at least try a little bit to spell, at least to the point where your post is legible?

(tip: command+semi-colon in Safari spell checks)

hahaha.... sorry about the spelling.... well.. there is something called qtimageserver, windowserver. i am not with the powerbook right now... will go back and check.... anything else i shld do?

DWG format is an autocad specific proprietary image format (see http://www.geocities.com/kuyunjik/
for more information).

Not sure WHY saving it as .DWG would create hundreds of files with no end in sight.

Sounds like you definetely have a corrupted file to say the very least if it keeps creating .BMP
files all over the hard drive.

What version of Mac OS are you using? What version of Illustrator?

hey.. i am using 10.3.9. and adobe illustrator 10..but the main has a ext. .doc but it come as a dwg file.. no idea why.....
