Hi, I am trying to install front row on my iBook, and i cant copy a file into my private frameworks file. Anyone got any ideas as to why?

Permissions.

Change permissions of the destination folder to "Read & Write"...you will need to enter the admin password to accomplish this.

Privileges are set so that you don't mess with the /System folder (chances are high you'll mess up your computer). There's little use for Front Row on an iBook. You have that sitting on your lap anyway. Temper your curiosity (or temporarily change owner of that folder from System to you).

harrisjamieh...I know the temptation is huge, but just wait until 10.4.3 is out. It has the bezel framework needed for Front Row. 10.4.3 should be out before the end of the week.

If you really can't wait...make a copy of the current bezel framework as there's no guarantee 10.4.3 will install correctly over the 'hacked' framework.
