How can I do this? I need to copy some files from a Macintosh computer onto my External Hardrive. Macintosh says it is "Read Only", so it refuses to copy any files to the my hardrive! Are there any programs out there that will allow me to copy files from the mac onto my hardrive in NTFS? Is there a way to do it in OSX Tiger itself?

NTFS is read only. It can't be done.

There's got to be another way, because I could copy it over the Internet. Why not use a similar method? copy it from the mac onto a pc, then copy it off the pc onto my hardrive? The campus network might allow that, but I'm not 100% sure about their network shares. If only there were some software that would run it through a similar phase. Maybe emulate an internet connection to send the file to the disk?

It will work if a PC is connected to it. So either:

a) Use Virtual PC on your Mac
b) Copy the files to a PC, then from the PC to the drive
c) Network with a PC and send them straight to that drive, via the PC.

Mac OS X cannot write to NTFS.
