No matter what I try, including enabling IPv6 in 10.4.3 I can't get my StuffIt to work (including re-isntall), anyone else have this problem?

It's because Stuffit crashes while attempting to check for a new version. Turn off version checking if you're going to use IPv6.

Just try to avoid Stuffit. If you really need it, get version 9 http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/6326

StuffIt doesn't suck anymore. The new version is Cocoa.

Stuffit still sucks. If for some reason it tries to open a broken archive, it will crash and leave a potentially massive invisible folder called $stuffit or something. Do a find using easyfind or whatever and you might come across GBs of wasted space.

I agree we should kill stuffit once and for all. It's far too slow for one thing. Compressed dmg doesn't require you to wait any length of time to get at the files, you just mount it. Also, for installers, the OS X kind you are able to extract the files and install manually. If a stuffit install fails, you are screwed.

I'm having the same problems. Stuffit launches then immediately quits.
