The reviews for 10.4.3 ain't exactly been stellar. Are there any good reasons for going from 10.4.2->10.4.3 if all is fine with your current system?

They haven't been stellar? Says who? In my experience, 10.4.3 has been a lot better than 10.4.2 was. The speed and rendering improvements in WebKit alone make it worth it...

10.4.3 has significantly better memory management, at least with the apps I use.

The reviews for 10.4.3 have been mostly stellar. There some bugs still but there's always some bugs for some people.

Personally, I can't think of a reason NOT to go to 10.4.3.

10.4.3 has been incredibly stable. Only a few cosmetic bugs remain that are unlikely to be fixed any time soon.

One thing I discovered today is that the iPhoto automator actions seem to be broken in 10.4.3 — so in the off-chance you use those, hold off on upgrading. Otherwise, go for it.

It also breaks M-Audio Delta PCI card drivers. A few folks have had success re-installing an older version of the drivers, but not everybody.

Other than that, I installed it on one of my machines that I don't use for audio, and it has been fine. Spotlight is drastically faster.

Actually, 10.4.3 is probably the most Stellar update Apple's had in quite some time, from the sounds of the feedback and my own experience...

Actually, the advanced reviews on 10.4.4 haven't exactly been stellar, I'd wait to see what 10.4.5 looks like. Oops, just got the reviews on that, seems you'll have to wait until 10.4.7.0.4.5.2 to get stellar reviews.

10.4.3 is good enough that new Tiger DVDs will ship with it.
