Seems to happen with all major updates, but my ability to hotsync my m515 has once again left. Problem is, reinstalling the desktop (4.2.1 revD) didn't work, as well as trying all the usual handheld/software tricks. Any suggestions?

Palm Desktop is a big, fat, steaming turd.

Can't say related to your direct problem, but if you actually care about the Palm, I would STRONGLY recommend you fork over the $39 for The Missing Sync. They just came out with 5.0, and the conduit kicks major buttocks.
