Hi there.. I was talking to my gf on ichat and all of a sudden someone mounted a disc on my new hi-res powerbook and there was two files inside the mount. The name on the disc and everything was japanese.. One will said Apple works and 6.2.3 and some japanese and the other file I could not make out.

Whats up? i am running the new 10.4.4 build . I am in Cincinnati and was just chatting. I did not have my firewall running and am on a broadband acct. I had my iDisk open.. They shoudl not be able to do this!! I am very lucky that I happenned to have a finder window open and saw them connect. It did not ask anything, they just connected. I am using a password for my acct.

#2 Problem.. I call Applecare to see if there is a history so i can see who mounted and then they are closed.. goto the imac support page to talk to someone 24x7 , so i go and because I have a new powerbook that is twice as much I cant get help. This policy is so lame, i might return the PB. I am not happy after dumping > $2K this week to be treated this way.

No discussions of pre-release software. If you have 10.4.4 and are posting about it on here, you either are breaking NDA or got it illegally. In the first case, we don't want to help you break an NDA. In the second case, you probably installed a trojan horse. Since you got it illegally, we would prefer you not discuss it here.

If you are actually running 10.4.3 and haven't been installing nefarious software, then please post another thread with more info.

ps. Apple support wouldn't be able to help you even if they tried.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3
