Could you please repost this? It didn't seem to show up for some reason.

I couldn't find anything saying that Rosetta now supports AltiVec when I did a search with Google. Were you posting a new, previously unknown piece of info (with a link, hopefully), or was this just another question/opinion?

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Wow...I didn't realize that the MacNN vBulletin servers ate my post. I hope problems with the servers get fixed soon because this is getting annoying. And I can't even correct a glaring grammar mistake in the title because there's no first post to edit.

I also briefly talked about new ATI drivers for PC cards in the new build. I then said that we could "kiss Mac graphics card premium prices good bye." But that phrase kinda lost its effect when it's not attached to the rest of my original post. :/

I fixed the typo for you.

I don't know what causes zombie threads. It's irritating, and I've been bugging the server guru to fix it.

It's ungodly I tell you. It's dark sided. Apple Intel PCs = Gargoyles!

This is pretty impressive if they actually manage to get Rosetta to do Altivec stuff as well!
