Just popped up on Software Update. Haven't gotten around to installing yet, got a buttload of projects open, and can't be bothered at the moment...

any guinea pigs who've installed this yet, care to comment on the update?

I see no difference (which is a good thing, I suppose).

According to the Macworld article, there were a number of fixes for Safari. Safari is version 2.0.2 (416.13 - was .12) after the update.

FWIW, macintouch.com is recommending a backup before you try this:
We strongly recommend doing a backup before installation - at least one reader's system was disabled in the update process - but it includes fixes for some serious vulnerabilities:
Still, I'm doing it now (backed up before TGiving) so will let you know if I encounter any problems.

I installed it without any side effects. Knock on wood, but I have never experienced any issues from any of Apple's software updates. I do all of mine through the Software Update app.
