With all your assistance and advice on unix, I have been using terminal quite a lot. Thanks. I have been logging in as >console, and installed Pine so I can send & check email from the command line... I have a pop3 account, and am wondering how to only receive 1 copy of a message. Everytime I delete a message, the next time I log into my inbox, the server gives me another copy. Any ideas?

And, should I be using pine-ssl?

I am having some problems with the message "user has no maildrop" when I try to check my emails as well.

Is the problem with maidrop because I need to create a folder somewhere for the inbox to dump? I have a few under my user/mail, but not one for an inbox. I tried to create one there, but no luck...

When you first started Pine, it should have given you the option of making mail boxes. Or it does it automatically if I remember correctly (don't have access to Pine right now.)

As for deleteing messages off the server, there isn't an option for under Settings?
