Hi. I have a problem with one of the Power Macs at work, it is a dual boot 1.25 GHz tower with 1.25 MB of RAM and it has both OS X 10.3.9 and OS9.2.2 installed. If the computer is booted up from OS9, the File sharing extension causes the machine to crash. File sharing wortks fine in OS X. Can't reinstall OS9 from the software restore disks, I get a big red X over the 80GB HD, saying this system cannit be installed on this computer. Wrong disks or caused by updated OSX? Tried copying the same version of file sharing extension from another similar/identical? computer, same thing solid freeze with a type 29 error. Any help appreciated, as I need to get this machine on the LAN!
Reinstalling the OS is an option, but not a reinitialization as there is valuable data on the machine.
Disk Warrior 3.03 gives the machine a clear bill of health, but it is terminally ill
Regards
