My ibook takes quite a few minutes to load upon startup, and when the colored ball finally stops spinning I have a recovered file in my trash. The file is called "AOL.Temp". I don't have aol so I'm a bit perplexed. Can anyone tell me what's up and how to fix the long startup?
Thanks

Windows Media Player creates those AOL temp files. You can ignore these "recovered files". It's a benign side effect of apps not cleaning up properly after themselves. Just empty the trash.

Exactly right about the media player. Have been watching latest updates of the potentialy big storm to hit here tonight, and it used the media player. Thanks

Any ideas about the very long start up?
