What are Apple playing at with 10.4.3??

In case you aren't aware of it, 10.4.3 introduced a very serious bug in some of the NVidia drivers. They broke the OpenGL front buffer or something. This means that some apps including popular games are running slowly. I tried running some software on a quad G5 (lucky me ) only to find the software was unusable because it was running 10.4.3 and had a Geforce 6600 (not so lucky ).

At the very least, why can't Apple provide an installer for the 10.4.2 Nvidia drivers so people can still do their work? At the moment they are forced to do an archive & install - assuming of course that they have 10.4.2, which I don't since the G5 quad is brand new. Imagine shiping a machine with faulty software.

It's been weeks and no sign of a fix. If 10.4.4 fixes it, that would be OK but reports suggest it won't be out until the end of the month or maybe January.
