Well I Final stopped looking and purchase a G3 B&W, I just purchased the OS X v10.2 and upgraded it to 10.2.8. But from what I can tell not all application are not on the CD. Keep in mind I am new and do not know that much about these computers. I have a ATI video card that came with the B & W that looks like it can capture video. What I need to know is there a restore cd for these Macs that have all the applications like the DVD palyer and video capturing software, I would like to restore the computer to some what original. I read that most of this software came with these Mac. If there is one how can I get it.

Thanks

The B&W G3s came with OS 9. I wouldn't bother with any bundled applications that are for OS 9.

The ATI video capture feature is not officially supported in OS X afaik.

If the machine has a DVD drive in it, Apple DVD Player should have been installed with OS X. Did you check the options in the installer before you installed OS X? Perhaps some of the extra applications were not installed (they're mostly on the second CD, IIRC), though I wouldn't consider DVD Player an "extra."

Also, OS X 10.3.9 runs good on that machine, and Tiger should run pretty well too.

And just FYI, if it's the 400Mhz model at least, then it came with MacOS 8.5. I don't recall what applications came bundled, but you wouldn't want to use OS 8.5 or 9 anyway.

The blue & white G3s that came with the ATI video-in capable cards were special educational configured machines, not available to the general public. They were also all originally equipped with MacOS 8.5 or 8.6. These particular video cards are Rage II-class cards. And AFAIK, there are absolutely no OS X-based applications that will support these cards. All the blue & white G3s sold through the standard retail channel had the more powerful Rage 128 cards (though no video-in capability).

Also, you may have some trouble getting OS X to play a DVD on your machine with that video card. If you intend to keep the machine, think about replacing the video card with a PCI ATI Radeon 9200. It will set you back about $130, though. The Rage 128s can be found for next to nothing on eBay, however (I'm pretty sure I've got one or two floating around somewhere myself). Do make sure you get a PCI model, not an AGP model.
