Has anyone else been having issues installing WMP on Tiger. I have Tiger 10.4, and everytime I try and install it, it says it is unable to find a default application to open the file. Ive tried installing Stuffit to resolve the issue, but no luck. the extension for the install is SITX. Does anyone know how to open these files??

I am trying to install Windows Media PLayer, the file extension is SITX, and when trying to install it keeps telling me there is no known default application to open the file. I have 10.4. I have also tried installing Stuffit to help resolve the association issue, but no luck...

Any help someone?..

The application to open/extract .sitx files is Stuffit Expander. It is a propriatery compression algorythm so that is the only app that can extract .sitx I fear.

You will have to install that successfully to extract the file. If you have installed Stuffit, have you tried to drag the .sitx file and drop it on the Stuffit Expander app?
