I had to reinstall Panther using the supplied disk, and the welcome screen will not accept my login password. After several failed attempts it gives me my hint, which is correct, so I think it still retains my password.
Can I reset the pasword? Do I have to reset it?
How can I get into my eMac?

To reset your password boot from the system CD and choose the password resetting thing from the Utilities menu.
