Today I got a "low disk space" warning of some sort. Never before had it. So, I go and check how much free space is on my Startup Disk and it was a little over 100MB. I was confused as to how this much space filled up so quickly. So I started fishing around and getting info on some of my main folders such as System, Applications or Downloads. Then I clicked on Library and it was eating up 23.36GB! So I did a search just in the Library folder for the files that were last modified within the last couple of days and I found 2 console log files that were 16GB and 7GB. I tried to view these files in Console.app but, it would have taken forever for that much data to load. What do you suppose happened to my computer to make that many console errors to fill up 16GB worth of data?

I found these files in Library/Logs/Console/spaz/console.log.0

Use TextWrangler/BBEdit to open one of them up. It's the only text editor I've found to be capable of opening huge text files without choking.

Or, you could go to Terminal, type "tail " and then drag the console file to the window (to enter the path to the file) and press Return.

That would show you the last 100 lines or so.

Thanks guys... but, I already deleted the files. Umm... could it be from BitTorrent? I used that App a lot yesterday. For legal uses of course.
