is there a program preferrably that runs in the background that overrides the sound to make it a lower volume for the audio keys on my powerbook?
i use a turtle beach usb soundcard to replace my dead headphone port on my powerbook, but from 1% being manageable, 2% the optimal level to 10% being deafening, i cant use the sound keys on my powerbook to make the sound a managable level. its either muted, or 8% (1 notch shown on the sound window that shows up on the screen when an audio button is pressed) which is way too loud.
for now i have to use the sound preferences master volume control, and adjust it VERY carefully to the proper volume.
any help much appreciated.
