Ok, when I attempt to perform a hardware test on my iBook G3, booting up from the hardware test disk that accompanied my iBook here is what happens: the disk boots up but when the display appears it is comletely distorted. The test window is pushed to the left side of the screen and compressed so much that it is unreadable. The remainder of the screen consists of two solid colors (grey and red). Anyone have any idea what the heck is up ??? Could the disk be damaged or corrupted ??? Could this be an indication that there is a problem with the graphics card ??? I have never seen anything like it. What is odd is the fact that to my knowledge, all hardware is operating fine. If it is that the disk itself is damaged, does anyone know if I can obtain a replacement one from Apple ??? Thanks for any and all guidance people

Why not try sizing your desktop to different native resolutions and color depths? If there is a problem with your graphics hardware not accepting a certain resolution/depth, it should occur when booted normally.
