Hey, I am new to Mac, just bought a powerbook a few days ago and I'm loving it already. I am trying to install Windows Media Player on it and it is asking me what application I want to open the file with. Which one do I choose?

Thanks!

You choose StuffIt Expander (it needs to be downloaded separately).

Windows Media Player sucks seriously on Mac by the way. You might want to use VLC media player or MPlayer when possible.

They suck as well, but less. Who wants to spend money can also use Flip4Mac

By the way, you could have found the answer to your question with a forum search, and this is an "application" question so it belonged into the "Applications" forum, not the "Mac OS X" system forum.

Well, TETENAL wrote it while I was looking for some related links, so time to edit my post.

Here you'll find the free expander…

ok, thanks guys, and I figured Windows Media would suck on Mac, because it Windows sucks too. I'll try your other suggestions too.

Please, read our forum rules, and look at the explanations under each forum's name to decide where things go. Questions about applications EXPLICITLY DO NOT go here.
