I have an imac (400mhz/512mb) running osx.4 server that I use as a webserver. I have noticed that the cpu creeps up daily until the machine is rebooted, after the reboot the cpu is at about 12%. The only thing I can think of that could be causing the problem is snort/HenWen, but I would rather not disable it. Anyone else ever seen this problem?

it appears that the normal web-traffic rides on top of the increase.

open a terminal* and type "top -u". that will show you which processes are taking up the CPU cycles (it also could be multiple items each using very little processor). it would at least confirm or disconfirm your notion. hope that helps.

10.4.4 Server update seems to solve this problem. I had this with 10.4.3 Server, we'll see what happens with 10.4.4.
