I'm using an iMac G5 (Rev 2) with USB Soundsticks.

They have always worked fine with no problems at all, until I upgraded to 10.4.4.

Now they show up in system profiler, but I can't use them. Any ideas?

go into system prefs and try to reselect them as the sound output device? If that doesn't work, go into Audio MIDI setup in /Applications/Utilities and try to select them there.

unplug them, then plug them back in - that used to work for me.
