I need some help with my PB. I installed a program (BounceBack -- installing from a disk image from my desktop machine), which required a restart. Unfrotunately, I got nothing but a gray screen at restart. Eventually i turned the machine off and restarted in single-user mode, to be able to run the terminal disk utility. Now the stupid machine is stuck on "checking catalog hierarchy." I swear, the machine appears to have no life! It's been on that for at least 15 minutes, which has never been my experience before.

Any suggestions? I'm not even sure I can turn the machine off at this point, plus I'm afraid of what would happen to its innards if I did. Plus, I still have to get it up and running.

I'm looking for help...

I spoke too soon. Poor machine just needed more time. All is well, for the time being, anyway! It went to the startup screen and I'm using it now.
