moving items in menu bar?

is it possible to move the position of things ( icon-ettes) in the menubar at the top of the sceen? like the disply, the modem, the date and time, and iCalendar?

Try cmd-dragging. That should allow you to change the icon order.

nope didn't work for me. cmd meaning the old apple key?

any other ideas? does cmd dragg work for you?

Command-dragging works for all Apple provided menu items except the Spotlight icon. You can not reorder third party status items in the menubar.

Yeah. I don't understand why Apple has made it that way, but third parties that create menus the way they are supposed to can't have their menus moved.
