I'm wondering if keeping filesharing on all the time hinders the performance of one's network or client machines under OS X the way it did under OS 9 and earlier.
I haven't taken any kind of speed hit running OS X. Even if you use Directory Services and gen your Mac in a Windows Server domain using AD, it doesn't slow things down for me. Ironic, since it does slow down a Windows machine.
