I have a 15" Powerbook G4 1.25 that wont complete the startup process. It makes it to the window with the progress bar, which goes all the way to the end. However, it then just sits there pulsating indefinitely (at least 30 minutes). I had just installed 10.4.4 prior to restarting, so I'm not sure if it is related. Booting while holding shift didnt help, and I also used the Disk Utility on my install disk. Any suggestions?

In DU, did you both repair permissions and fix disk? If yes, try this:
On reboot, hold down Cmd-Opt-O-F until you get the open firmware screen. At the prompt type:

reset-nvram <press return key>
set-defaults <press return>
reset-all <press return>
and then to exit, type bye or mac-boot <press return key>
