Hi,
I have an Imac 333mhz with 384mb ram and have changed the hdd to a 20gb one and tried to install OSX 10.3 but it says destination is not within first 8gb so i partitioned it with the first partition as 8gb but it says the same thing also tried 7and 6gb with the same message.
The hdd originally had windows and i used chkdsk /f and it didn't have any errors i also verified it using the OSX disk and it says the partitions are ok so I then put in the original 6gb hdd to see if i could install the os on that and it went through ok so I know the disks are ok.
I installed 9.1 on the 20gb disk and it installed ok so if anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
ps.
I made sure the jumpers were set to master and it was installed correctly
