I'm having a strange problem with my Trash, and I was wondering if anyone would help.

I recently did a clean install of Tiger, and upgraded to 10.4.4. Ever since the clean install, my Trash icon refuses to change from the full icon. I have used terminal and there is definately nothing in it, yet the icon is still full.
I have repaird permissions several times, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any solution?

That's interesting - that's nothing I have run across before. Does the Trash function normally in other accounts?

If guessing counts...

When you go to Finder>Secure Empty Trash, will it securely empty the trash or is that option greyed out?

Also, have you tried restarting in Safe Boot Mode and emptying the trash from there?
