I've returned from a trip to Asia and found my not resetting the camera's clock has created some organization issues. I've tried to find an AppleScript or Automator action that can alter/shift the file's date and time created tags, but came up dry.
Does anyone have any suggestions? To be clear, I don't want to change the tags within iPhoto or any other application, I want the actual file's information to be altered.
Thanks!

1. I've never used File Buddy; is there a batch option that someone who hasn't a clue how to write scripts can use?
2. Terminal: see "someone who hasn't a clue how to write scripts" for indication of proficiency with terminal.
Cheers!

Yeah, you can change the date in one file, then save a droplet to use with others. At least that's how it works in FileBuddy 7. (I never upgraded.)

Got File Buddy and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much for that suggestion. That's quite a powerful program! Is there any version history that shows I manipulated the creation date? I feel like that could have significant legal consequences if someone wanted to use it for the wrong reasons.

File Buddy (ver. 8) does change the creation date of the file. HOWEVER, it does NOT change the date in the EXIF data (as far as I can tell).
The EXIF data usually records the camera settings when the picture was taken and other info, date and time. This information is independent of the creation date and "traditional" data. Not all cameras record EXIF data but Kodaks (and other major makers) do.
An app called Reveal http://albumshaper.sourceforge.net/ will allow you to change the EXIF data. Presently you have to do one photo at a time. But the author has indicated that he will probably include batch processing in the future. It is a handy little app. There are some other ways to change the EXIF data, but a little more complicated (visit macosxhints.com)
