My college uses the company Blackboard for their internet classes. The problem I'm having is I can't post to the discussion boards on my Power Mac G5 computer. I've tried every browser I have (Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE, Camino). When I try to post a message, all the browsers just keeps trying to send the data forever. The weird thing is that my PC computer has no problems with posting.

I've read the Blackboard help files and it seems that it uses Java heavily so they said something about maybe not having enough browser memory. I don't know what that means but I have 1 gig of RAM. Also they said that it might be because of my router not having the lastest firmware to support Blackboard's technology but I have the lastest firmware for my router. They really don't have much Mac support which is why I'm posting here. I don't want to buy a new router just for this class. I'm hoping someone can solve this problem.

I used it a while back and it worked, but it sounds like that was a previous version, because it wasn't really Java-intensive that I remember.

Are your PC and Mac behind that same router?

Yes, they are. I'm also using the latest version of Java on both computers.

Also, they said it was Java instensive but I don't believe just using the discussion boards would be. Maybe their live chat feature would be. I just think they don't have much Mac support so they are just guessing with these answers.
