Hi,

I'm forced to generate single page PDFs from both Quark and InDesign for my clients printers. Without a huge investment in a plugin, I'm forced to generate them one page at a time.

I thought I could use PDFtk's burst command to split a single multipage pdf into individual pages, but on comparing it to a page extracted using Acrobat I noticed a size difference.

Does anyone know if burst strips out important data my printing service may need?

You might check out the Automator action: PDF: Extract Even & Odd Pages, which has an option to to extract "all pages in separate files." I haven't tried it, but it may work for you.

I wouldn't be surprised by variations in the PDF size, though; there's probably many ways to skin the cat of a multipage pdf.

Thanks Mithras!

I usually forget Automator is even there. I'll give it a try.

Just open up Automator, and click on 'PDF'. It should be there.
