All this reading about DNS and reverse DNS and sub-reverse-primary-secondary-teriary DNS is making my eyes cross.

I have a domain hosted through a company. I want to make a sub-domain, for example home.domain.com and have it point to my machine at home.

So, how do I do that?

Find out your home connection's IP, and point the DNS record for the subdomain there.

In particular, I use the combination of:
* ZoneEdit.com (free)
* DNSUpdate (free)

to keep track of dynamic IP changes.
I have jukebox.myhost.net, powerbook.myhost.net, ibook.myhost.net, etc. and it works great.
