How to get "Home" and "End" buttons to work in Safari/Firefox?

When I type a post or e-mail or whatever, my Home and End buttons don't do anything. They work in word processors. But in Safari and Firefox, they don't work. What gives?

Apple uses Command+Left Arrow for Home and Command+Right Arrow for End.

To be more specific, "home" and "end" go to the top and bottom of a document, respectively.
