who does not show remote users

I'm not seeing myself when I do a who command when logged in remotely. Likewise, when I go to the remote machine and physically log in, the remote session does not show up either.

Does anyone know why this might be? Sounds like a security imperfection.

By "logged in remotely", do you mean SSH? If so, I do not experience the issue.
