Help! The partition that I have my user information on has mysteriously gone read only. I've checked the permissions, and it's all on "Read & Write." Any ideas what's causing this?

Try logging into the root user and change all permissions back to Read/Write... I had a similar problem, but on a much smaller scale.

You can enable the root user in Netinfo Manager, under the Security menu. Once it's enabled, log out and type "root" in the other users pane.

Hmmm...I tried that. No luck. To make sure I did it right though, I went into the root user, went to my partition and selected 'Get Info' but all the permissions were already set to 'Read/Write'
