Anyone know of a way to remove the spotlight menu item? I don't use it, and it's taking up valuable screen real-estate on my 12" PowerBook's screen.

I've read a couple of posts where you manually take out a bit of the System to disable the menu item, but it went bad for one of those people and I don't want to go down that road (I'm at present doing a full reinstall of OSX and all of my apps on my desktop machine because PocketMac damaged the Finder and it's taking ages, so I'm wary of messing around deep inside the OS).

Thanks in advance,

Chas
