SoundSticks II pop when wake from sleep after OS upgrade

	I've searched the forums for people with similar problem but have found no one. A few upgrades ago (sorry don't recall which) my SoundSticks II started to make a horrible popping noise (very loud) when my G5 1.8 wakes from sleep. I've tried the Pram (optn+cmd+p+r) and also the unplug the computer from the power for more than 2 minutes, unplug the speakers etc to no avail, the only thing that seems to work is hitting the mute before sleep which I don't always remember to do. Help. Kane.
