I recently bought an iMac, and am trying to synch POP emeail accounts bwtween it ans my PowerBook. I went into ~/Library/Mail and coppied that entire directory oer tot the new machine.

This appeared to work well, but old, pre-synch messages are not able to be read on the iMac. The message shows up in the mailbox, instead of the original emial text, I get the following message in the body of the email:

The message from XXX <XXX@XXXX.com> concerning “EMAIL SUBJECT” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.

The machine IS online and able to receive new mai from my accounts, and the old messages still appear on the PowerBook. What do I need to do to get the messages to show up on the iMac?
