I seriously need some help. I won an eMac & I've never use Apple before, so I don't really know how to use much about it. I recently discovered that Appleworks is missing, it was there, so I must have somehow deleted it. I tried reinstalling the operating system (still is not there), I even tried something that I saw on a previous post about doing Command + Shift + D (or G - don't remember which) & search for images, when I typed images nothing was found. I am at my witts end & because the computer was a contest prize, apparently it was purchased in July & my tech support period has expired. I really need help with this. THANKS!!!

What disks came with it? You should have the installer for AppleWorks on the CD/DVD(s) that came with the machine.

However, see the magnifying glass in the top right corner? click it and type AppleWorks in the search field. Does that find the application for you?

I tried using Finder & it does not find Appleworks. I have 16 CDs that came with the computer, I even re-installed the entire operating system, while it was installing, I would see it say installing Garage Band, iDVD, etc, - so I was sure that it had worked, however Appleworks still was not there. I really don't know what else to do, I mean if I completely reinstalled shouldn't that have broughtback Appleworks?

No, Appleworks is not part of the operating system. You need to double-click the bundled applications installer on your software restore DVD as described in the article I linked above.

Please read our rules, linked from every thread listing.

1) Our rules explicitly say to leave out "noise" from titles such as "HELP!!"

2) AppleWorks is an application. All application questions belong in the Applications forum.
