Spacebar doesn't work with shift key?

Hey guys. Latley I have been noticing that when I am typing rapidly I would frequently miss the spass bar key and my words would sometimes not be spaced. I finally figured out that this would happen when I was holding the shift key to capitalize a letter. Whenever I hold down the shift key, my spacebar simply does not work. Im not sure if this is normal, but unless I am going crazy it seems like my key board is acting up. Any advice?
PowerBook G4 1 ghz
10.4.5
Using a apple USB Keyboard and migty mouse.

It depends on the application. In some programs, shift-space can be programmed to do things other than enter a space.

I just tested a few applications and it looks like they are all doing it. Any ideas on how to elimante whatever shortcut is going on?

Look in System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts and see if something there is set to shift-space.

I dont get it. There is nothing here showing that shorcut. I even went through and restored defaults and nothing changed. I even turned off all keboard short cuts and the problem still exists.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? This is SO annoying.

At least in Safari shift space takes you up a page. Beyond that I don't really know what to say.

No, none of my services use shift space. I just do't get it. If I rapidly press shift space, it looks like "edit" menu becomes selected.If I click the edit menu with my mouse and bring it down, and then hit shift + space, the "find" option in the pull down menu lights up, however there are no commands in there that would be caused by shift + space!

does shift space in the google search bar in safari generate a space? On my iBook it does.
In text boxes (like this one I'm typing in) in safari shift space generates a space too.
What applications are you seeing that you have missed spaces in?

No, shift space in the google address bar does not generate a space.
Every appliation where I am inputing text does not give me a space if I am holding down the shift key. Its so annoying. Honestly guys, I have no clue what is going on.
